Data Deletion Request Instructions

If you want MakeForms to delete your account and the data linked to it, follow the steps below.

How to request deletion

Send an email to support@makeforms.io from the email address you use on MakeForms.

In the email, include:

  • Subject: Data Deletion Request

  • Your MakeForms account email

  • Optional: your workspace name or any extra details that help us find the right account faster

What happens after you email us

  1. We review your request and get back to you to confirm it is really you.

  2. After confirmation, your account is marked for deletion.

  3. All active sessions are cleared, and you will be logged out on all devices.

72 hour cool-off period

After your deletion is confirmed, there is a 72 hour cool-off period.
During this time, you can still log in to your dashboard and cancel the deletion request.

If you do not cancel within 72 hours, we will proceed with deletion.

What gets deleted

If the request is not cancelled during the cool-off period:

  • Your MakeForms account will be deleted

  • Your data linked to that account will be deleted

Data we may keep (limited retention)

Even after deletion, we may retain a small set of data for logging, audit, and abuse prevention purposes. This can include:

  • Your email address in account deletion logs

  • Your email address in trial availed logs

This retained data is:

  • Not used for marketing

  • Not used to contact you

  • Kept only to help prevent repeated trial abuse (creating accounts, deleting them, and taking trials again)

We also keep high level compliance reporting records, for example:

  • The number of deletion requests received

  • When we actioned those requests
    (We report counts and timelines, not user details.)

Subscriptions and billing

If your account has an active paid plan:

  • The subscription will be cancelled

  • No refund is provided for any unused part of the subscription term
