The New MakeForms 2.0 ( part 1 ) : Speed, Compliance, and Conversions

Today we’re excited to announce MakeForms 2.0, our biggest update yet. It’s faster, more secure, and designed to help you generate high-quality leads at scale. This is part one of a four-part series on what’s new.

A Fresh Look and Lightning Performance

The first thing you’ll notice is the redesigned dashboard. It’s clean, intuitive, and nearly two to three times faster than before. Building, editing, and managing forms now feels instant.

This isn’t just a visual update. The rebuild improves every part of your workflow. The new branding, which you may have seen on our site, reflects this focus on clarity and speed.

Seamlessly Switch Between Global Data Regions

Our power users have been asking for this one, and we're excited to deliver. In MakeForms 1.0, switching between workspaces in different regions (like the US and EU) was a bit clunky because they were hosted on separate subdomains. With MakeForms 2.0, all of your regions and workspaces are now consolidated under a single domain: app.makeforms.io. This means switching between your EU and US workspaces is now instantaneous. You’ll see the data region of your current workspace right in the top corner, and all your most-used workspaces will be right at the top for quick access.

We’re Going Global with More Data Residency Options

Data residency is a top priority for us, and we know it's a critical compliance need for many of you. We’ve always offered regions for US (HIPAA compliant) and EU (GDPR compliant) users, but with MakeForms 2.0, we’re expanding our global footprint to give you more choice and control. 

We've added four new regions for our MRR (monthly recurring revenue) customers: 

1. Canada for PIPEDA compliance
2. India for our users in the region
3. Singapore (with PDPA compliance coming soon)
4. Australia for our users who need their data to stay within Australia

And for our Enterprise customers, we've gone even further, giving you six more exclusive regions to choose from, including the UAE, South Africa, Japan, the UK, Brazil, and Israel. This expansion means that whether you're a small business or a global agency, you can now host your forms and data in the location that makes the most sense for your business and your customers.

The All-New Lead Form: Built for Conversion

If you're using forms to generate leads, you’re going to love our new lead form option. This brand-new template is specifically designed for high-conversion campaigns. The new lead form has a smart, step-by-step layout. 

You can ask initial qualifying questions on the first page, like "How many bedrooms are you looking for?" or "What's your budget?", and then save the personal details (name, email, and phone number) for the final page. 

This streamlined approach helps you gather information more effectively and improve your conversion rates. You also have complete control over the design, from colors and fonts to adding a personalized image in the footer to build trust.

TCPA Compliance and Advanced Lead Verification

For those working in the US, we've also added some powerful new features to help you stay TCPA compliant. You can now enable lead certification with one-click integrations for TrustedForm and Jornaya. 

We’ve also introduced a dedicated TCPA consent field where you can add your specific legal language and even get one-to-one consent for each company you’re distributing leads to. And we haven't forgotten about lead verification. 

We’ve made some big updates to our phone number verification process, adding options for SMS-only verification and inline verification, where a "Verify" button appears right on the form. This ensures you're collecting valid, high-quality data from genuine users.
